Newport Chocolates in Russell is my all time favourite. They are a special treat.
Makana Confections, Boutique Chocolate Factory is located across from the Packhouse Market in Kerikeri. Most Guests head over after the Market.
Makana Shop & Factory - you can see them preparing chocolates in the factory area. Their Macadamia Nut Brittle is truly scrumptious and you will be provided with a sample and Truffle on entry. Additional samples available on request.
Cafe - serves a selection of Desserts, light meals/snacks and real Italian Gelato
The Swordy Bar & Bistro
Located within the Swordfish Club, just a short walk on the same road as Busby Manor with outstanding views over the Bay.
Good quality food and always receiving great feedback from guests. If you do a Fishing Charter or get lucky fishing off the rocks they will also cook and prepare your catch.

JFC - Just Fish & Chips
Fresh Fish in Paihia and next door to Busby Manor Resort (after the Stone Church)
Since opening we are receiving great feedback from guests.
Eat inside where they have a fully licensed Bar and an eco friendly fish and chips on the beach setting with meals arriving wrapped in "newspaper". Takeaway also available.
The Cafe is located at the Waitangi Golf Club with a varied daily changing menu that is all cooked and made fresh on site. There is also a cabinet of sandwiches and sweet treats.
With reasonable prices, good quality food and amazing views from inside or outside seating this is highly recommended for the perfect lunch stop.
During Summer they have a "Twilight Dinner" from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. every Thursday.
Fresh produce is continually sourced from around the region and the superb local food is served on the terrace, shaded by grapevines, overlooking the lake, gardens and vineyard.
Open for Breakfast and Lunch daily. Dinner is available Friday and Saturday evenings.

Upstairs and overlooking the Bay, this is a new favourite of ours.
Using global cooking techniques and the unique ingredients of the stunning Far North the menu changes with the seasons and when new produce becomes available.

Helena Bay Art Gallery, Café and Sculpture Garden
An hour’s drive from Busby Manor, this is a great spot for lunch while taking in the views of the Bay. The fully licensed cafe provides something for everyone: a terrific menu, great coffee, a large range of cakes all made on site.
Take your time browsing the Art Gallery and Sculpture Garden, showcasing a wide-range and eclectic selection of Kiwi art, interior and jewellery.
Recommend heading there/back along the scenic coastal via the vehicle ferry.

Duke of Marlborough Hotel since 1827
Located on the waterfront of Russell offering great food and a relaxing place to watch the sun set and then catch a ferry back to Paihia. The oldest hotel in NZ and it has been fully renovated.
Rainbow Falls Tea House
A New Zealand Villa dating back to the 1920’s, located next to the Rainbow Fall's Carpark and surrounded by a beautiful traditional English garden setting.
The perfect place to sit back, relax and have breakfast, morning/afternoon tea as well as offering light lunch.
The Owner of the Duke of Marlborough Hotel in Russell opened another restaurant of great quality at the end of Paihia Wharf next to the Ferry Terminal.
Their menu offers a varied selection of food options, the signature dish being the pork knuckle (pre-booking recommended). The handcrafted gourmet stone baked pizza's are delicious.

Northland has a rich history of wine-making, with the area's first vines having been planted in Kerikeri by Samuel Marsden. The first wine from these vines was made by James Busby.
We can provide a Map of the Wine Trails or book you on one of the locally run Wine Tours.

Delhi 6 Indian Restaurant is located upstairs above the four square on Williams Road and has recently been refubished. Parking is right outside the door and staff are excellent plus the food is always tasty. If you ask for Indian hot you will get Indian hot!!!

This club is accessible to anyone with affiliated club membership.
It is a large complex and serves simple food like battered fish, steaks and roasts.

Zane Grey's Aquarium and Dock Restaurant and Bar
The Dock: Outdoor large Verandah area for summer eating and drinking while looking out over the Bay. Glass balconies and umbrellas to provide comfort and protection on windy/sunny days.
The Aquarium: Indoor Aquarium, Bar and Restaurant for a more intimate dining experience.
Jimmy Jacks - Rib Shack -
Frequented by locals and families as it offers value for money. Huge platters with a variety of food. Known for their delicious Ribs.
